Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) legislator Takudzwa Ngadziore on Friday said that detectives investigating his alleged abduction by gunmen last month requested log-in details of his private Facebook account.
Ngadziore said the detectives said they needed his Facebook password to extract some raw data in a viral video footage he filmed live as he was being kidnapped by heavily armed burly men in broad daylight.
The CCC Youth Quota legislator also claimed that a detective from Harare’s CID Law and Order Division also sought further interviews with him on the matter. <a href="https://www.zimlive.com/detectives-request-access-into-takudzwa-ngadziore-facebook-to-unmask-mps-kidnappers/">ZimLive</a> quoted Ngadziore as saying:

The CID Law and Order department engaged in a bid to access account details of my Facebook account which I used to capture my abduction live, in the process alerting the whole world about my ordeal.
They said their cyber department can only use this evidence after they get it from the source.
I told them I had no intention of sharing such details with them if they needed my account.
I strongly feel if at all they have real intentions of collecting the evidence, they can still download the images which are still on my timeline.

Ngadziore expressed frustration with how the police are handling the case. He said:

I sense all this is a deliberate ploy to either derail or slow down the process of acquiring justice.
In other countries, the perpetrators would have been apprehended by now with investigations also at a later stage.
It is disheartening that in our case, the police show no real intentions to have this matter dealt with.

Ngadziore was allegedly abducted in Harare in November 2023 before he was tortured and dumped by his abductors after they were informed by their colleagues that they had been exposed and were trending on social media.
His party, CCC, said after the gunmen were alerted that they had been exposed, they tortured Ngadziore, injected him with an unknown substance, and stripped him naked before dumping him in Mazoe.
Ngadziore’s abductors were later identified as Nicholas “Big Daddy” Kajese and Abraham Pasi, both said to be state security agents.
Several opposition activists have allegedly been abducted and tortured in recent years by suspected State security agents.
However, there have been no arrests of perpetrators of the attacks which has given rise to speculation that the perpetrators of the crimes are linked to the State.

Detectives Request Access Into CCC MP Takudzwa Ngadziore's Facebook Account

Fadzayi Mahere, a Member of Parliament for the Mt Pleasant constituency, expressed concern that people who have been abducted and tortured are scared to report their ordeal to the police. She said they fear the government will treat them like they did with Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri, and Netsai Marova. These three individuals claimed to have been abducted and tortured by suspected state security agents, but the State accused them of faking their abduction and were arrested for spreading lies. The case against them is still ongoing.
Recently, another MP from the opposition party, Takudzwa Ngadziore, along with former MP James Chidhakwa, claimed they were <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/2023/11/02/police-say-ngadziore-yet-to-report-alleged-abduction-and-torture/">abducted, tortured, and injected with an unknown substance.</a> Ngadziore’s abduction was recorded live on Facebook before he was taken to Mazowe, where he was tortured and left naked.
The public expressed outrage over the incidents on social media. The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) stated that they are trying to contact Ngadziore to gather more information about the alleged abduction. In a short statement on X, the ZRP said:

The ZRP has been keenly following an allegation of abduction and torture on Social Media. The Police inform the public that no such case has been reported. We are trying to make contact with the alleged victim so as to elicit the facts beyond what is on social media.

Information Secretary, Nick Mangwana, said investigations on all matters including those around the unverified pictures and video clips are also underway. He said:

 We have been keenly following an allegation of abduction and torture trending on Social Media. We have also been handling a number of Media Inquiries on the same matter. We are liaising with the @PoliceZimbabwe who advise us that no such case has been reported to them so far. They also informed us that they are trying to make contact with the alleged victim so as to get more facts about this case, as currently they only have Social Media chatter to go by. They will issue a more operational statement in due course. Thank you.

Dr Walter Mzembi, a former Tourism Minister who is currently living in exile, stated that it didn’t make sense for the police to wait for a report from Ngadziore when there is clear footage showing the alleged perpetrator carrying an AK47 rifle. He said:

Is @PoliceZimbabwe so complacent let alone our security forces that they will wait for a Police Report when there is footage of people marauding with AK47 Assault Rifles in suburbs substituting them in their role unless the only explanation being that they know the people in the footage and it was an authorised operation?

Former PetroTrade board chair, Tinomudaishe Chinyoka suggested that the said footage was no admissible evidence in a court of law. He responded to Mzembi:

Ahh, Minister! Footage doesn’t mean it’s a crime, it could be a film being shot. Are you saying the police should investigate things based on tweets? Will we be safe?

In response to Nick Mangwana’s statement saying police had not received any report, Mahere said the victims were afraid of what happened to Mamombe and colleagues. She said:

Last time, Joana, Cecilia and Netsai reported their abduction and torture. You guys turned on them. They were arrested and prosecuted for “communicating falsehoods.” The perpetrators went free. This is why we describe you as a violent, corrupt dictatorship that offends the Constitution at every turn. Your call for a police report to be made is not bona fide at all.

In the past, authorities have made claims suggesting that people who reported being abducted were possibly staging the abductions themselves in order to damage the government’s reputation. They have also suggested that there could be a “third force” that was responsible for carrying out these abductions in an attempt to tarnish the government’s image.

Abduction Victims Afraid To Report Fearing What Happened To Mamombe And Colleagues - Mahere

Presidential spokesperson, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/George_Charamba/">George Charamba</a>, has accused <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Takudzwa_Ngadziore/">Takudzwa Ngadziore</a>, a legislator from the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), of faking his own abduction and forging a ZANU PF signature. Ngadziore was reportedly abducted, tortured, and then abandoned in Christon Bank in Mazowe.
The alleged abductors, who were captured on camera, are believed to be connected to the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) and operating from Harare Central Police Station. Charamba dismissed Ngadziore’s abduction as a distraction after it was revealed that he was involved in forging the signatures of Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda and ZANU PF. The forged signatures were used in a letter to <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/2023/10/17/man-claiming-to-be-zanu-pf-secretary-recalls-70-mps/">recall 70 ZANU PF legislators</a>. Charamba said the letter was forged by Ngadziore as well as CCC interim organising secretary <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Amos_Chibaya/">Amos Chibaya</a>. He said:

Many have already rubbished the false chase of Ngadziore by some person wielding an assault rifle. I am still trying to understand why the Triple C script needed the prop of an AK assault rifle, as if the puffing and blowing fat Ngadziore needed dire interventions. Ngadziore, alongside Chibaya and Farai Chinobva, are on the wanted list in respect of allegations of forging two signatures.
Drama or no drama, the long arm of the law will collect them eventually! Their next false drama is targeting the attention of the European Union (EU) and America when heads of election observer teams for the EU and Carter Center return to present and submit their final reports.

According to Charamba, Ngadziore and Chinobva, who reportedly works in Chamisa’s office, were directed by Chibaya to forge a letter recalling ZANU PF MPs. They wrote the letter on ZANU PF letterhead and signed it with the name of a made-up person named Manyika. Ngadziore was supposed to deliver the recall letters to Mudenda, but he was stopped by Parliament security because the CCC had announced that they were not participating in Parliament.
Unable to deliver the letters, Ngadziore, Chibaya, and Chinobva decided to release the letters and a forged receipt with a fake signature. They felt pressure to make these documents public before Tshabangu’s case was heard, Charamba argued.
CCC spokesperson, Promise Mkwananzi, responded to Charamba’s accusations by stating that Charamba is not the police and that the recalls happening in ZANU PF are not their concern.

Charamba Accuses Ngadziore Of Faking His Own Abduction, Forging ZANU PF Signatures

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said the alleged abduction and torture of CCC MP Takudzwa Ngadziore yesterday has not been reported at any police station.
In a short statement posted on their X page on Thursday evening, Police said they are trying to contact the victim to gather facts about the alleged abduction. Reads the statement:

We are trying to make contact with the alleged victim so as to elicit the facts beyond what is on social media.

Police Say Ngadziore Yet To Report Alleged Abduction And Torture

The United States has expressed concern over reports of assault and abductions of opposition members in Zimbabwe.
Through its embassy in Zimbabwe, the United States urged the Government of Zimbabwe to respect constitutional rights and the fundamental freedoms of all its citizens.
A statement posted on the U.S. Embassy in Zimbabwe’s X page on Thursday afternoon reads:

The United States is deeply disturbed by continued reports of violence, assault &amp; abductions of opposition members in #Zimbabwe. We urge respect for constitutional rights &amp; the fundamental freedoms that underpin them.
</blockquote>
This follows the abduction of CCC Member of Parliament Takudzwa Ngadziore, on Wednesday, while on his way to Parliament.
CCC said the youthful MP was dumped in Christon Bank, Mazowe, after he was forcibly undressed, subjected to torture, and injected with an unidentified substance.
Former Mabvuku-Tafara legislator James Chidhakwa (MDC) was also allegedly abducted, tortured and injected with an unidentified substance, recently.
Meanwhile, human rights lawyer Douglas Coltart, on Wednesday staged a solitary protest against the alleged abductions of CCC members by suspected state agents.
Coltart marched along a street in Harare holding a placard with the message: “No to abductions! No to barbarism.”

United States Of America "Disturbed" By Reported Abductions Of CCC Members

Government spokesperson Ndavaningi “Nick” Mangwana says they have noted “social media chatter” about the alleged abduction and torture of CCC Youth Quota MP, Takudzwa Ngadziore, on Wednesday.
Posting on his X page, Mangwana said the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) was yet to contact Ngadziore to get more information about the incident. He said:

We have been keenly following an allegation of abduction and torture trending on Social Media. We have also been handling a number of Media Inquiries on the same matter.
We are liaising with the [Zimbabwe Republic Police] who advised us that no such case has been reported to them so far.

CCC Chief Whip Amos Chibaya, on Wednesday, said Ngadziore was abducted while on his way to the Parliament.

CCC MP Abduction: Nick Mangwana Says Government Aware Of "Social Media Chatter"

The opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has appealed for SADC’s intervention in Zimbabwe’s “political crisis” after the party’s Youth Quota MP in the National Assembly, <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Takudzwa_Ngadziore">Takudzwa Ngadziore</a> was allegedly abducted and tortured by suspected State agents on Wednesday, 01 November.
Ngadziore recorded his abduction live on Facebook before he was reportedly taken to Mazowe where he was tortured before being stripped naked and dumped.
The kidnapping comes less than a month after former Mabvuku-Tafara MP James Chidhakwa (MDC) was abducted, tortured and later dumped along Arcturus Road.
Addressing reporters on Wednesday, CCC Chief Whip Amos Chibaya, said Ngadziore was kidnapped while on his way to the Parliament. He said:

Honourable Ngadziore was abducted while on his way to the parliament.
He was abducted at a gunpoint. this adds to surging politically motivated violence and targeted abductions.

Several opposition activists who have been kidnapped over the years have alleged that their captors injected them with unknown substances. Said Chibaya:

The pattern of injections is a big worry to us, all of them were injected with an unknown substance. A systematic way to eliminate those who differ from ZANU PF.
We have a political crisis in Zimbabwe arising out of a disputed election of 23 August 2023.
If an MP can be abducted in broad daylight in the capital city think of our activists all over the country who are being victimized for being CCC.

Chibaya demanded that the Police investigate Ngadziore’s abduction and arrest the perpetrators. He said:

We appeal to law enforcement agencies, particularly the police to investigate this issue with urgency and due diligence
We reject the brazen attempt to turn Zimbabwe into a pariah republic.
We are aware that SADC is meeting on the 4th of November to deliberate on other issues such as developments in Zimbabwe.
We call for Zimbabwe’s return to democracy and full respect of the law.

Journalist and political activist <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Itai_Dzamara">Itai Dzamara</a> was abducted on the morning of 9 March 2015 by five unidentified men while at a barber shop in Harare’s Glenview suburb and has never been seen since.

CCC Appeals For SADC's Intervention After Abduction Of MP In Broad Daylight

CCC says its Youth Taskforce leader, <a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Takudzwa_Ngadziore">Takudzwa Ngadziore</a>, was dumped by his abductors after they were informed by their colleagues that they had been exposed and were trending on social media.
Ngadziore, who is also a CCC Member of Parliament, managed to record his abduction live on Facebook as the gunmen chased after him.
CCC said after the gunmen were alerted that they had been exposed, they tortured Ngadziore, injected him with an unknown substance, and stripped him naked before dumping him in Mazoe. The Party said:

After [Takudzwa Ngadziore] quickly filmed a live video before being abducted this morning by state agents wielding AK47s, the gang was informed by their colleagues that they had been exposed and were trending on all social media platforms.
They proceeded to torture him, injected an unknown substance, and then dumped him at Christon Bank in Mazoe.
He was stripped naked and was found by a well-wisher who provided him with a work suit to cover his nudity.

CCC spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi revealed that Ngadziore was on his way to Parliament for the pre-budget seminar when he was kidnapped. Said Mkwananzi:

CCC MP, Takudzwa Ngadziore Kidnapped, Tortured, Injected And Stripped Naked

<a href="https://pindula.co.zw/Linda_Masarira">Linda Masarira</a>, the leader of LEAD Party, has suggested that the alleged abduction of CCC MP Takudzwa Ngadziore was staged in a bid to cast the spotlight on Zimbabwe ahead of the SADC Extraordinary Summit which resumes in Luanda, Angola on Saturday, 04 November 2023.
Ngadziore recorded the alleged abduction incident live on Facebook as the gunmen chased after him in Harare on 01 November.
CC deputy spokesperson Gift Siziba later posted on X saying Ngadziore was tortured and dumped in Christon Bank in Mazoe.
However, Masarira said the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) should investigate the alleged abduction, saying it “doesn’t make sense at all” that the State would abduct Ngadziore, assault him and dump him for no reason. She wrote on X:

On a serious note, what threat does Takudzwa Ngadziore pose to the state that he would be allegedly abducted and dumped like what CCC Cdes are saying?
Is the state so gullible to just abduct, assault and dump for no reason? This story doesn’t make sense at all.
A few months ago, someone was attacked by men who he had stepped toes on a Rufaro marketing deal, and it was alleged that it is the system.
Even those who get assaulted after having differences with their own friends or partners claim it is CIO or ZANU PF.
My appeal is for [ZRP] to look for the man with the gun and investigate this case thoroughly. His face is very visible, and we need to get to the bottom of all these shenanigans that continue to pose a non-existent threat to our political economy.

Masarira queried why abductions of opposition activists “always” happen just before some regional or international meeting, implying that Ngadziore staged the kidnapping. She said:

Is it a coincidence that these abductions always happen a few days before some regional or international meeting? ZANU or CIO always strikes when SADC, AU, UN or any international forum?
I am game to manhunt the man with the gun, let us look for him and effect a citizen’s arrest.

She, however, didn’t indicate how unarmed citizens can arrest a man armed with an assault rifle.
The SADC virtual Extra-Ordinary Summit held on Tuesday, 31 October adjourned after preliminary discussions on the political and security situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Later that day, the SADC Secretariat in Gaborone, Botswana issued a statement saying the SADC leaders decided to resume the discussions in Luanda, Angola on Saturday.

Takudzwa Ngadziore's Alleged Abduction Doesn't Make Sense - Linda Masarira

ZANU PF Director of Information and Publicity Tafadzwa Mugwadi says the disruption of a Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) Press conference on Tuesday is a manifestation of factionalism within the opposition party.
CCC spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere on Tuesday accused ZANU PF youths of storming the Media Centre in Harare to block the opposition party from holding its Press Conference.
Mahere said ZANU PF is scared of the opposition and is trying to push CCC to boycott general elections scheduled for 2023.
However, in a post on Twitter, Mugwadi claimed that CCC youths disrupted the presser to stop CCC leader Nelson Chamisa from imposing his preferred leaders for the party’s youth wing. Said Mugwadi:

Dog eat dog in CCC – deadly factional strife as their leader [Nelson Chamisa] who has no legitimate claim to lead their party claims legitimacy to freeze posts of other politicians belonging to the CCC cult.
CCC youths disrupted the presser to stop the [Takudzwa] Ngadziore coup on Obey Sithole.

 Chamisa is reportedly set to impose former student activist, Takudzwa Ngadziore, as the party’s youth assembly chairperson, albeit, on an interim basis.
Ngadziore will replace Obey Sithole, who left for Europe to further his studies.

Mugwadi Says CCC Youths Disrupted The Party's Press Conference

CCC leader Nelson Chamisa is reportedly set to impose former student activist, Takudzwa Ngadziore, as the party’s youth assembly chairperson, albeit, on an interim basis.
Ngadziore will replace Obey Sithole, who left for Europe to further his studies.
Norway-based Pashor Sibanda will be appointed the secretary general, while Womberaiishe Nhende will be promoted from deputy spokesperson to national organising secretary.
Ngadziore, Sibanda and Nhende will complement those voted into office at the then MDC Alliance’s 2018 Congress in Gweru in leading a youth structure that has the likes of Cecilia Chimbiri and Makomborero Haruzivishe.
Sibanda will replace Gift Siziba, who is now the party’s deputy national spokesperson, deputising Fadzayi Mahere.
<a href="https://www.newzimbabwe.com/chamisa-sets-self-against-ccc-youths-over-claimed-imposition-of-greenhorn-ngadziore/">NewZimbabwe.com</a> reported sources in the CCC youth assembly as saying Chamisa’s decision was ill-advised.
Ngadziore is considered too junior to lead the veteran youth activists who have been in the “struggle” for a long time. Said the source:

We honestly cannot be led by Ngadziore, he is not just too junior, but could just be the least effective Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) president since the inception of the association.
It is our hope that Chamisa will give reasons for these appointments. If he is coming in to replace Sithole, who has been away for some time, then should Chimbiri not be considered rather than picking someone from we do not know where?
We honestly cannot have Ngadziore giving orders to Stephen “Sarkozy” Chuma, Chimbiri, or even Nhende.

Another insider said it will be impossible for Ngadziore to exercise authority over the veterans. He said:

None of those in the current youth executive will respect him (Ngadziore), Chamisa should know this.
It is actually funny he is expected to edit Chuma’s statement, be introduced at rallies by Nhende and be called commander by Chimbiri. We want to see how and who he will lead.

Chamisa Set To Impose Ngadziore As Youth Assembly Chairperson | Report

The trial of pro-democracy campaigner <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Takudzwa_Ngadziore">Takudzwa Ngadziore</a> on charges of participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence failed to commence Thursday at Harare Magistrates Court.
This was after prosecutors attempted to “sneak in” some witnesses who assaulted the former student leader when he was arrested in September 2020 and left him for dead, Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) claimed. 
<a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Obey_Shava">Obey Shava</a>, a ZLHR lawyer “quickly objected” to this before Harare Magistrate Ruth Moyo and demanded that a comprehensive report should be tabled before the court concerning the participation of those witnesses in the assault of Ngadziore. 
As a result, Magistrate Moyo postponed the matter to 18 October to allow the state to submit the said report and for the possible commencement of Ngadziore’s trial.

Ngadziore was arrested in September 2020 by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZR) and charged with contravening section 37(1)(b) of the Criminal Code for allegedly protesting at Impala Car Rental premises in Harare demanding answers concerning its alleged role in the <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/08/27/full-text-zimlive-editors-nephew-tawanda-muchehiwa-narrates-horrendous-3-day-torture-by-his-abductors/">use of its vehicles in the abduction</a> of <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Tawanda_Muchehiwa">Twanda Muchehiwa</a>, a journalism student. 
Muchehiwa was abducted, disappeared and tortured by some unidentified people in Bulawayo in July 2020. 
They interrogated him to reveal the whereabouts of his relative, freelance journalist Mduduzi Mathuthu who was wanted by the police allegedly for rallying the citizenry to participate in the foiled 31 July 2020 anti-government protests. 
Prosecutors allege that Ngadziore teamed up with 30 other unidentified people and gathered at some traffic lights located in the Braeside suburb in Harare armed with placards and demonstrated against Impala Car Rental’s alleged use of its vehicles in the abduction of Muchehiwa. 
During the demonstration, prosecutors claimed, Ngadziore sang songs demeaning ZRP members.

Trial Of Pro-democracy Campaigner Ngadziore Fails To Commence After Lawyer Intervention

The <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/University_of_Zimbabwe">University of Zimbabwe (UZ)</a> has <a href="https://zero.pindula.co.zw/university-of-zimbabwe-raises-fees-for-the-august-december-2022-semester/">raised students’ fees for the August – December 2022 Semester</a> raising the eyebrows of many. The new fee structure seen by Pindula News suggests that an engineering student now needs to pay at least ZWL$500 000. 
Responding to the development, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Fadzayi_Mahere">Fadzayi Mahere</a>, a former Law lecturer at the UZ said the “poor” won’t afford the fees. Mahere who is also the national spokesperson of the opposition <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Citizens%27_Coalition_for_Change">Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC)</a> called upon authorities to review the fees downwards. She said:

The astronomical increase in fees by the @UniversityOfZim can only be described as criminal. This regime is anti-poor. A civil servant earns US$150 but has to pay ZWL$500,000 for an engineering student. That excludes living expenses. We need new leaders.
49% of Zimbabweans live in extreme poverty. A civil servant barely earns $200,000 yet the UZ has pegged fees at between $500,000 and $1million. <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Takudzwa_Ngadziore">Takudzwa Ngadziore</a>, the leader of the <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_National_Students_Union" title="Zimbabwe National Students Union">Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU)</a> also rallied “young people” to demand a review of the fees downwards. He said:

Other commentators also said education was becoming a privilege as school fees in Zimbabwe are now beyond the reach of an average parent.
Fees have been going up in recent years with learning institutions citing the depreciation of the Zimbabwe dollar.

Mahere Says The Govt Is "Anti-poor" Following An "Astronomical Increase In Fees By UZ"

ZINASU president Takudzwa Ngadziore was on Friday granted ZW$5000 bail when he appeared before High Court judge Justice Davison Foroma accused of participating in a demonstration with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.
The 22-year-old student activist was arrested after staging a protest at Impala Car Rental in Harare seeking justice for another 22-year-old MSU journalism student Tawanda Muchehiwa who had been abducted and tortured.
Muchehiwa was abducted on 30 July and an Impala Car rental vehicle was used to abduct the ZimLive Editor Mduduzi Mathuthu’s nephew.
Justice Foroma ordered Ngadziore not to participate in any public gathering, to surrender his passport and to report to the police every Friday as part of bail conditions.
Sunday could have marked 30 days in custody since Ngadziore was detained.

ZINASU President Released On Bail

Watch, a small group of students protesting <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/09/10/zrp-arrests-zinasu-president-for-protesting-at-impala-car-rental/">the arrest and detention of student leader ZINASU President Takudzwa Ngadziore,</a> picketing at Impala Car Rentals headquarters.
The students said they were going to shut down the headquarters till Impala Car Rentals withdrew the charges against young Takudzwa Ngadziore and release the information of the people who <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/08/29/impala-car-rental-urged-to-disclose-identity-of-muchehiwas-abductors-and-torturers/">hired the vehicle that was used to abduct an MSU student</a> Tawanda Muchehiwa.

Zimbabwe National Students Association (ZINASU) have petitioned the Justice Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi to release their jailed leader Takudzwa Ngadziore who has been in jail for the past 26 days after a Harare Magistrate remanded him in custody for addressing a press conference in front of Impala Car Rental, New Zimbabwe reports.
Speaking after delivering their petition to the government, the students told the publication that Ngadziore is a victim of Zanu PF thuggery:
<blockquote>We have made it clear in our petition that Takudzwa Ngadziore is innocent and is a victim of Zanu PF thuggery. He is a victim of state thuggery.
As students, we have been persecuted by our own chancellor in the name of Emmerson Mnangagwa.
As we speak today, since the beginning of the year, more than 30 students have been arrested for one charge or another. All relating to demonstration which itself is a constitutional right.</blockquote>
The students also spoke about the events that occurred before the<a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2020/09/18/watch-unidentified-man-attacks-zinasu-president-while-addressing-people-outside-impala-car-rental/"> ZINASU leader Ngadziore was arrested in which he was severely assaulted by an unknown</a> man allegedly in front of police officers before they arrested him and said:
<blockquote>The courts, as usual, chose to ignore the victimisation and torture of Takudzwa Ngadziore and chose to keep him under their custody.
This is the new norm in the Zimbabwean judiciary, as long as one speaks their mind out or express dissatisfaction in anything done by the government, they get abducted, tortured and unlawfully detained,</blockquote>
The judge who presided over Ngadziore’s bail hearing indefinitely reserved judgment on the case. The ZINASU leader was protesting the abduction of 22-year-old MSU student Tawanda Muchehiwa who was abducted using an Impala Car Rental Vehicle.

Investigate The Attack On Takudzwa Ngadziore And The Journalists Covering The Presser  - UK In Zimbabwe

The Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) president Takudzwa Ngadziore was on Monday granted ZWL$2 000 bail by a Harare magistrate.
Apart from the bail money, Ngadziore was ordered to reside at the given address and to stay 100 metres away from a car rental company – Impala Car Rental Premises – in Harare.
Ngadziore was arrested last Thursday following protests outside the car rental firm’s premises and spent the weekend in prison after his bail hearing was postponed to Monday, September 14.
Harare magistrate Barbra Mateko on Friday last week said she was overwhelmed with work as she ordered the further detention of Ngadziore.
The 21-year-old Great Zimbabwe University Bachelor of Science in Politics and Administration student is accused of participating in a demonstration with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.
He is represented by Webster Jiti of the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR).
Reports indicate that Ngadziore’s fellow student activists were arrested on Monday.

ZINASU President Freed On $2 000 Bail

ZRP has reportedly arrested Takudzwa Ngadziore who is the Zimbabwe National Students Association President for protesting at Impala Car rental. The arrest came after Takudzwa reportedly staged a demo at Impala Car Rental in Harare following the abduction of 22-year-old MSU journalism student Tawanda Muchehiwa. Muchehiwa was abducted on 30 July and an Impala Car rental vehicle was used to abduct the ZimLive Editor’s nephew who was subsequently tortured following the abduction.
The development was posted on Facebook by Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human rights in a post that said:
