National Patriotic Front (NPF) spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire has accused Zimbabweans of hypocrisy. Mawarire said that the people condemning the explosion at President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Bulawayo rally where strangely quiet when other people were attacked and killed during the November 2017 military coup which resulted in the fall of Robert Mugabe. In a series of tweets, Mawarire said,
<blockquote>The Byo explosion is a symptom of an ailment contracted on Nov 15, 2017, it’s condemnation without dealing with the root cause (coup) is disingenuous and hypocritical. We need a solution to the coup and all other things, like the Byo explosion, will be avoided.
Zimbabweans like Peter Munetsi lost their lives during the coup and those that pretend to respect the sanctity of life after the Byo explosion were complicity in the murders thru blatant celebration of the barbarity. What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander.
It’s a continuation of the violence we saw on Nov 15, 2017. Remember Chiwenga told people in Mabvuku that “Operation Restore Regacy” is still ongoing. I hope SADC, AU &amp; the international community now see why some of us still condemn the Coup. The violent can never bring peace.
That’s exactly what we condemned on Nov 15, 2017, when Chiwenga and Co turned their guns on political enemies and many Zimbabweans celebrated when @ProfJNMoyo &amp; @Hon_Kasukuwere’s houses were shelled by soldiers. Most on twitter here attacked those who condemned that violence.
People died during the much publicised “operation Restore Regacy” and many on Twitter turned a blind eye, even attacking those against the coup. I got criticised for condemning the coup. Violence begets violence. Look what’s happening</blockquote>

Hypocrites, You Turned A Blind Eye When People Were Killed During November Coup: NPF Spokesperson

Senior officials from the Robert Mugabe endorsed opposition National Patriotic Front (NPF) attended the MDC Alliance protest which was held today. The MDC was protesting against the lack of electoral reforms. In attendance was NPF secretary general Shadreck Mashayamombe and party spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire. Speaking at the rally, Mawarire chanted the MDC slogan, “tshisa mpama tshisa” before going on to declare that everyone should for Chamisa on the 30th of July. Mawarire said that development was going to come through Chamisa and that the only hope for Zimbabwe was Chamisa.
Mawarire’s endorsement of Chamisa suggests that NPF leader Ambrose Mutinhiri may not be running for the presidency this election.

Video: Mugabe's National Patriotic Front Endorses Chamisa, Says All Zimbabweans Should Vote For Him

National Patriotic Front (NPF) spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire has responded to Patrick Zhuwao’s apology for the <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/05/21/videos-jonathan-moyo-accuses-mugabe-party-spokesperson-of-stealing-money-meant-for-t-shirts/">conversation he had with Jonathan Moyo which leaked online supposedly accidentally</a> via Twitter lives-streaming. Mawarire said he will not accept Zhuwao’s apology because it is nonsense.

Jealousy Mawarire Responds To Zhuwao's Apology For Leaked Conversation With Moyo

After being labelled a thief in a <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/05/21/videos-jonathan-moyo-accuses-mugabe-party-spokesperson-of-stealing-money-meant-for-t-shirts/">leaked video conversation between Jonathan Moyo and Patrick Zhuwao</a>, Jealousy Mawarire reacted angrily on Twitter. Mawarire hurled insults at Jonathan Moyo in a series of tweets, calling him names.

Videos of Jonathan Moyo and Patrick Zhuwao walking around in Nairobi, Kenya have leaked. The two are discussing the turmoil in National Patriotic Front (NPF). Moyo says NPF spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire stole money for 10,000 NPF T-shirts that was donated by Grace Mugabe and that he (Mawarire) is not trusted in party.

Videos: Jonathan Moyo Accuses Mugabe Party Spokesperson Of Stealing Money Meant For T-shirts

The National Patriotic Front (NPF) party has dismissed reports that there have been leadership changes within the party. This follows reports that <a href="https://news.pindula.co.zw/2018/05/07/zhuwao-throws-kasukuwere-under-the-bus-saying-hes-working-with-ed-to-distabilise-mugabe-party/" rel="noopener" target="_blank">Saviour Kasukuwere is working with President Emmerson Mnangagwa to destabilise the new opposition party</a> which was endorsed by former president Robert Mugabe. We publish the statement in full below,
<blockquote>We have noted recent media reports and alleged statements by anonymous, yet ‘impeccable’, sources and some excitable NPF officials purporting to speak on behalf of the party on the subject of leadership change within our fast growing party. It is regrettable that these patently reckless statements at public forums and clandestine interviews, done nocturnally, have been taken as official party position when in fact the NPF has a dear operational structure that deals with leadership identification as we grow our party.
It is pertinent that we make it dear that the current leadership structure is born out of a deliberate process involving the founders of the party whose mandate, at this formative stage, is to identify competent and dedicated cadres to fill in important (sic)
Attempts by some cadres, identified and appointed to specific roles by the party’s founders, to arrogate themselves powers to impose leaders of their choice is patently unconstitutional as these appointed officials have not been subjected to any electoral process themselves.
As a party, we remain committed to building our fast growing support base within the provisions of our constitution and the various transitional clauses that deal with how the founding leadership should be constituted. We are focussed on wining the forthcoming harmonised elections and we are doing everything that we believe boosts the party’s chances of winning these elections. If there is need for leadership reconfiguration, in line with our election strategy, that process will be led by President Mutinhiri and other founding members of the party.
The NPF has a clear vision of restoring the country to constitutionalism. We are geared towards putting an end to the stratocracy introduced by the military coup of November 15, 2017. We believe in the need to empower our people through policies that recognise the important role that our local human factor plays in building the local economy.
We are aware of the plight of beneficiaries of the land reform, indigenisation and economic empowerment who are being threatened through policy reversal by the Junta regime that has been selling our resources to unscrupulous and doggy (sic) characters, some of whom are known criminals.
NPF is therefore dedicated to creating a conducive investment environment on the back of a constitutional regime that respects the rule of law, fundamental human and property rights, the sanctity of life and the importance of a democratic and free society.

Full Text: National Patriotic Front Refutes Reports Of Leadership Changes Within The Party

Jealousy Mawarire, the spokesperson for the opposition National Patriotic Front (NPF) on Thursday alleged that illegal foreign currency traders were receiving money from one of the companies owned by President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Mawarire made the allegations at a “Making Elections Make Sense” debate which was organised by the Zimbabwe Electoral Support Network (ZESN). According to Mawarire, the traders were receiving cash as well as electronic money through the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) from Spartan Investments which he claimed is owned by Mnangagwa. He also claimed that the other company which was providing the illicit funding was Makanaka Investments owned by one Pote from Zvishavane.
This did not go down well with Zanu-PF’s Christopher Mutsvangwa, who is the special advisor to President Mnangagwa. Mutsvangwa promised legal action and said that Mawarire would have to defend his words in a court of law.
Mawarire later used social media to share documents which he claimed “are snippets of the Spartan Investments docket” at the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).

NPF's Mawarire Claims That Mnangagwa Is Behind Money Changers, Mutsvangwa Threatens Legal Action

As the proverbial Ides of March beckoned on Thursday 15th March 2018, social media platforms exploded into a frenzy with news that President Mugabe had given his first media interviews to five news organisations that have massive outreach to Zimbabweans at home and in the Diaspora. The first video of the game changing media event was a 30 seconds introduction to President Mugabe of the journalists from the Times of London, UK’s Independent Television News (ITN), South Africa’s Sunday Times, South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the Zimbabwe Independent.
Jealousy Mawarire conducted the introductions.
But who is this Jealousy Mawarire? How did he manage to have pulled off this scoop? The scoop was coming in exactly four months after the coup of 15th November 2017, and after the expiry of the 100 days that EDiots had given themselves as they clamoured for Zimbabweans and the world to endorse the embattled Mnangagwa. This was all occurring in an environment where the objective living conditions of Zimbabweans had significantly deteriorated with marked economic decline and an implosion of social services manifested in strikes in the health sector.
Jealousy Mawarire is the National Spokesperson of the National Patriotic Front (NPF) led by Retired Brigadier General Ambrose Mutinhiri, who is NPF’s Founding President and Presidential Candidate for the 2018 Elections. The NPF had emerged, initially as the New Patriotic Front, through a Petition to the African Union (AU) and Southern African Development Community (SADC) on 29th January 2018; when the AU Summit of Heads of State and Government was underway in Addis Ababa at which Mnangagwa lied about President Mugabe’s safety and welfare.
The NPF Petition triggered the visit to Zimbabwe by the African Union Commission (AUC) Chairperson Dr Moussa Faki Mahamat. Whilst diplomatic etiquette required that the AUC Chair refer to his visit as a courtesy call, the reality that it was a response to the NPF Petition was betrayed by the fact that the AUC Chair was accompanied by the AUC’s Political Commissioner.
When Jealousy Mawarire’s name emerged as NPF’s National Spokesperson in its 5th March 2018 press statement, highlighting the NPF President’s courtesy call to President Mugabe, the ZANU PF Junta’s intelligence apparatus attempted to trick and hoodwink some politicians who have been associated with G40 (in its erroneous conceptualisation as a faction of ZANU PF) to start asking the question; who is Jealousy Mawarire? These  infantile efforts at destabilisation sought to relegate and downscale the NPF into a mere factional outfit.
The ZANU PF Junta’s intelligence apparatus dismally failed to translate NPF into a mere factional outfit as evidenced by the fact that the only two currently known members of the founding executive do not fit into that specification of being part of the so-called G40 cabalists; namely being young politicians within ZANU PF. General 
Mutinhiri is nowhere near the age bracket normally associated with G40, and Jealousy Mawarire is, and was, not a member of ZANU PF.
NPF is emerging to be the only political formation that addresses the concerns of a cross section of Zimbabweans with regards to the dishonour that was visited upon the people of Zimbabwe in general, and ZANU PF members in particular, by the despicable actions of the coup conspirators and terrorist junta as they violated the Constitution of Zimbabwe in the shameful coup of 15th November 2017. As President Mugabe highlighted, on his 94th birthday celebrations at his Blue Roof Residence, the pre-coup leadership of ZANU PF is obliged to apologise to ZANU PF members for the ignominy of the coup.
It therefore becomes incumbent upon those of us, who have been labelled as G40 cabalists, to ensure that we allow for unhindered access to all patriotic Zimbabweans who have a nationalistic outlook the opportunity to be at the forefront of NPF. NPF can never be a factional project. NPF can never be exclusionary in the EDiotic way that the coup conspirators and terrorist junta have appropriated ZANU PF in their “Chinhu Chedu” (our thing) mantra.
As we answer the question, who is Jealousy Mawarire, we must acknowledge that he is a Zimbabwean who, like everyone else in the NPF family, is a voluntary member of and subscribes to the ideological foundation and values of NPF. Jealousy Mawarire has shown that he is willing and able to volunteer his experience and skills to championing 
the inter-generational and transformational aspirations of our country within the context of the foundational values and principles enshrined in Section 3(1) of the Constitution of Zimbabwe and founded on the enduring gains of independence as a legacy of our country’s liberation struggle.
But the more enduring question for the NPF family must go beyond asking who Jealousy Mawarire is as an individual or who anyone else is for that matter. As we work to restore constitutional order, normalcy and legitimacy in the wake of the 15th November coup, we are each and all of us obliged to ask ourselves whether we are playing our own part and volunteering our own time and positive energy to cure the coup. We must be able to determine how we can restore the greatness of Zimbabwe. It therefore becomes apt that we abide by the slogan that President Mugabe gave to us during his last address to the nation as President and Head of State and Government.

National People Party’s spokesman Jealousy Mawarire has refuted the allegation that his party snubbed the Nera demonstration that was held yesterday at Freedom square in Harare. In a facebook post, Mawarire said that most of the senior leaders were unable to make it due to preparations for the upcoming national elections. He went on to say that members of the party were at the demonstration.

Our people, the most important stakeholders in our organisation, took party in the demonstration and our youth wing, through our able youth leader, Farai Marvelous Kuvheya, mobilised our supporters to participate in the demonstration and issued out a statement distancing our party from disinformative statements insinuating that we were not participating in the demonstration. We were ably represented by party supporters while our leadership was busy preparing for our internal party elections on Saturday 25 March 2017.</blockquote>

Joice Mujuru's NPP denies allegations that it snubbed Nera demonstration

National People Party’s spokesman Jealousy Mawarire has refuted the allegation that his party snubbed the Nera demonstration that was held yesterday at Freedom square in Harare. In a facebook post, Mawarire said that most of the senior leaders were unable to make it due to preparations for the upcoming national elections. He went on to say that members of the party were at the demonstration.

Zimbabwe People First spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire has accused expelled member Margaret Dongo of employing Central Intelligent Organisation tactics to confuse party members after she called meetings using Joice Mujuru’s name.
In a press statement Mawarire said that Dongo cannot call meetings on behalf of Mujuru and noted that there was no meeting in Harare as had been called for by Dongo as Mujuru will be attending the hearing of her bond notes challenge at the Constitutional Court. He also noted that Mujuru will be meeting Matebeleland South Provincial Executive Council on Saturday after meeting the Manicaland Provincial Executive on Thursday. He went on to reiterate that Dongo, Rugare Gumbo, Didymus Mutasa, Kudakwashe Bhasikiti, Claudius Makova, Munacho Mutezo and Luckson Kandemiri remain expelled and can therefore not call a meeting on behalf of Mujuru. Margaret Dongo accused of employing CIO tactics to confuse Zimbabwe People First members after she calls for meeting in Mujuru's name

Information minister Christopher Mushohwe yesterday said Moyo was still on sick leave and would not be forced to leave his post.
Said Mushohwe:
<blockquote>Does one stop being a minister because he is sick? Would you resign because you are sick? He is the minister. He remains a minister and, instead, you should be asking how he is feeling instead of asking why he is still receiving taxpayers’ money while he is sick.</blockquote>
However social commentator Rashweat Mukundu said Moyo should resign from his post because his absence from the country for nearly a year meant he was unable to serve the nation while Zimbabwe People First spokesperson, Jealousy Mawarire, described Moyo’s situation as a mirror image of Mugabe’s administration. Lawyer, Valentine Mutatu, said labour laws allow one to take sick leave of up to three months and another three usually unpaid.

Calls for Simon Khaya Moyo to retire as Minister after being bedridden for 8 months

At a press conference earlier on today, independent MP for Norton, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Temba_Mliswa">Temba Mliswa</a> seemed to lose it when he advocated for tribal politics. Mliswa said that he was going to discourage his people from voting for the Zezuru tribe. He accused the Zezurus of monopolising all the senior government positions for the past 36 years.
The firebrand legislator said the balance of power should not remain on one side. Since the  Zezurus have ruled this country for the past 36years Mliswa feels that it has to stop.
Among other things, Mliswa said:
<blockquote>We shall go to our people and tell them to stop supporting  the Zezurus because the war is now tribal. The top gvt officials are all Zezurus</blockquote>
However, this did not go unanswered as other people spoke out against this view. Speaking on Twitter, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_People_First">Zimbabwe People First</a> spokesperson <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Jealousy_Mawarire">Jealousy Mawarire</a> denounced these views and called Temba Mliswa a charlatan.  Mawarire said such views, left unchecked can lead to genocide.
Mawarire said:

Mliswa preaches tribal politics, says people should stop supporting Zezuru's

<a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Norton">Norton</a> legislator, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Temba_Mliswa">Temba Mliswa</a> has said <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Zimbabwe_People_First">Zimbabwe People First</a> (ZimPF) leader, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Joice_Mujuru">Joice Mujuru</a>, was unfit to steward the project, because she had a history of betraying her own.
Speaking to NewsDay he said,
<blockquote>Mujuru cannot lead the coalition simply because she has no following like Tsvangirai. But more importantly, she has a history of betraying her own and has no spine to protect her supporters. Mujuru has no following, she was never voted at Zanu PF congresses, but handpicked by President <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Robert_Mugabe">Robert Mugabe</a>. Don’t count the votes she is said to have garnered as MP because those are Zanu PF votes which will not help us come 2018.</blockquote>
However ZimPF spokesperson, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Jealousy_Mawarire">Jealousy Mawarire</a> scoffed at Mliswa’s remarks,
<blockquote>Mliswa should know and realise that the people who voted for him are people who belong to other political parties. That is the reason why Mliswa roped in (ZimPF founding member) <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Didymus_Mutasa">Didymus Mutasa</a> and <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Movement_for_Democratic_Change_-_Tsvangirayi_(MDC-T)">MDC-T</a> vice-president, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Nelson_Chamisa">Nelson Chamisa</a>, to campaign for him.</blockquote>
