The wife of social media personality, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Comic_Pastor">Comic Pastor</a>, whose real name is Prosper Ngomashi, has alleged that the comedian habitually abused her during the course of their one-year marriage.
Munyaradzi Mavura first made the claims on her Facebook page before corroborating the allegations to <a href="https://www.hmetro.co.zw/its-not-funny-as-comic-pastor-is-accused-of-abuse-ex-wife-provides-cocktail-of-starling-allegations/">H-Metro</a> on Tuesday. She said:

I was married to Prosper for a year and during that period, I suffered like no man’s business.
He thoroughly beat me up after I had a heated exchange with his current wife, Noddy Zizhou, who was his girlfriend then.
I remember a day in September 2016 when I responded to a WhatsApp message Noddy had sent to Prosper. I said I miss you, pretending to be Prosper.
That day ndakarohwa senyoka yapinda mumba even though I was pregnant. Kurohwa then became almost a normal thing.
The abuse continued in different forms, but the beatings were the worst.

Mavura said the Comic Pastor and Noddy ganged up on her. She said:

They called me a witch, shoved me into a car and drove to my parents’ house to cause a scene.
I told my parents on the phone not to come out because they wanted to cause so much commotion in front of my parents’ neighbours.
I ended up having a miscarriage due to this. I lost our innocent unborn baby, but he showed no concern whatsoever.
</blockquote>
She said in revealing the abuse, she was not driven by jealousy, as she had now healed.
However, Ngomashi dismissed Munyaradzi’s allegations saying he “doesn’t know her”. He said:

The only wife I know is Noddy and that’s the only person I am married to. I married my wife six years ago. Uyo handimuzive.
If Noddy comes to the media complaining, then I will comment about it. I am currently in England so if Noddy has an issue dai ataura.

Local Comedian and motivational speaker, Tha Slick Pastor, real name <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Nigel_Tha_Slick_Pastor">Nigel Maritinyu</a>, has received a huge boost in his acting career after landing a role in a Netflix movie.
Nigel joins other Zimbabwean content creators to ink a deal with the production company, rising from just skit performers to Netflix actors.
Earlier this month, socialite Lorraine Guyo, of the Ndinyengeiwo fame, announced that she will be starring in an upcoming Netflix film titled “The Bad Bishop”.

The comedian, also known as Bamunini Nijo, without disclosing much information, shared the news with his social media followers. He posted on Facebook recently:

Bamunini Nijo is famed for his performance in the eponymous NashTV YouTube series along with popular comedians, Comic Pastor, Patricia Putsai, <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Gamuchirai_Duve">Gamuchirai Duve</a>, and others.
The drama series which tackles complicated family relations through humour just aired its third season.

A short film by Prosper Ngomashi, popularly known as <a href="https://www.pindula.co.zw/Comic_Pastor">Comic Pastor</a>, is trending on YouTube in Zimbabwe and is set to be one of the most popular short films locally. The film features Ngomashi, Nigel (the Slick Pastor), Felistas Chipendo, Gamuchirai Dube, and Dalma Chwereva.
Credits on the film say that it’s an unscripted film. The story in the film is of the Shona chiramu culture.

Video: Comic Pastor - Zimbabwe Monthly Comic Awards May 2017

Comic Pastor, real name Prosper Ngomashi, was at the weekend busy shooting a video for his single ‘Olinda Ndidewo’ featuring Michelle Chiyangwa as the video vixen.
The video makes fun of the Olinda-Stunner issue which rocked social media a couple of months ago leading to the couple’s divorce. Comic Pastor who plays Stunner while Michelle who plays Olinda. The video was shot at Philip Chiyangwa’s White House and sees Michelle in a Bentley while Comic Pastor stands outside begging her to take him back. After watching the video, Olinda Chapel who is rumoured to be dating Tytan, took to her Facebook page and said the video was sub-standard.

Comic Pastor speaks on Command Agriculture and Command Economy

Justice Mayor Wadyajena has accused Higher Education Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo of sponsoring skits against President Robert Mugabe’s Command Economy. Wadyajena says that the reference to 1992’s Economic Structural Adjustment Programme (ESAP) by the Prosper Ngomashi popularly known as Comic Pastor in his latest video, is evidence that the comedian was paid to criticise Command Economy initiative.

Local gospel musicians have condemned a South African Prophet Lethebo Rabalago, who runs the Mount Zion General Assembly in Limpopo province, for using Doom pesticide to heal his congregants.
Apostle <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Togarirepi_Chivaviro">Togarirepi Chivaviro</a> who is based in South Africa, said,
<blockquote>This is a high level of irresponsibility which is tarnishing genuine men of God out there. Spraying members with an insecticide is definitely not it. Can some man of God go and teach them what it means to say Prophet of Doom. A little schooling is needed for people to lead the people of God.</blockquote>
Another gospel artiste, Tatenda Mahachi, said,
<blockquote>This is the worst form of deception I’ve seen. I thought after the snake pastor, the one who made people drink petrol or the one who made people eat grass, I had seen it all. Lo and behold to my surprise, someone sprays a pesticide to heal.</blockquote>
Local comedian, <a href="http://www.pindula.co.zw/Prosper_Ngomashi">Comic Pastor</a> has since started a Doom challenge where he urged his followers to post pictures with the now famous Doom pesticide.
