Earlier on today, 8 explosions across Sri Lanka left 207 people dead and a further 450 wounded in attacks that mainly happened in Churches and luxurious hotels throughout the small island country that is bordered by China, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and 5 more countries. 35 of the deceased were foreigners including 5 British citizens and some Americans.
No one has claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks so far and 8 people have been arrested in connection with the bombings. The Sri Lanka government agrees that they received information about possible attacks and they did not take adequate precautions.
