On Thursday the first lad,y Auxillia Mnangagwa and the second lady Marry Chiwenga went to pay their respects at the late Oliver’s Mtukudzi’s home and console his grieving widow Daisy. Later in the day Mnangagwa took to social media and wrote:
Today, I paid my respects to the family of Zimbabwean national hero, Oliver Mtukudzi.
His music has been an integral part of our lives. It inspired our people to freedom and I have no doubt it will continue to influence generations to come across our continent and beyond.
May he rest in peace, and I pray that Daisy and her family find comfort in the outpouring of love she is receiving from the people of Zimbabwe and beyond.
