Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba told Zimpapers Television Network that they have deployed officers to stop protests.
In a telephone interview she said the ZRP condemns the Shutdown Zimbabwe protests. Said Charamba:
As the ZRP we have deployed. We are monitoring the situation. We condemn in the strongest terms all those who are destroying property and burning property. People will be apprehended and arrested for committing such unlawful acts.
