Sandra Ndebele Drags Money Changer To High Court Over Stolen $80 000

In an interview with The Chronicle, musician Sandra Ndebele said she has filed an application against Simangani Gwemende, an illegal money changer from Bulawayo at the Bulawayo High Court.

Gwemende subcontracted Lindiwe Ndlovu, to trade Ndebele’s money on the black market. Ndlovu claimed the money was robbed when she got off a private vehicle to Beitbridge on October 16. However, when she appeared in court Ndlovu admitted she had made a false report about the money being stolen. She said she made the false report in a bid to raise money for medication as she suffers from cancer. Ndebele said she has since filed an application to recover her money. Said Ndebele:

I suspected from the onset that this story of the money being stolen was just a cover up. I’ve filed a case against her (Gwemende) in the Bulawayo High Court to get my money back using the law. I know that the money is there. Maybe they’ve shared it among themselves. However, what I know is that they’ll pay back every cent that they took from me and claimed it was stolen.
