Former United Nations (UN) Secretary General Kofi Annan‚ has died. He was aged 80. He died after a short illness.

Annan was part the elders. He came to Zimbabwe in July 2018 in the run up to the harmonised elections and met both emmerson Mnangawa and Opposition leaders.
