Malema Congratulates Mnangagwa, Calls On All Parties To Accept The Democratic Outcome

The Julius Malema led South African opposition party, Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has issued a statement congratulating Emmerson Mnangagwa for winning the presidential elections.

EFF urges all political parties to accept the results and continue to build a new Zimbabwe based on peace and stability. The Nelson Chamisa led MDC Alliance has disputed the results arguing that they did not sign them. We publish the full statement by EFF below:

The EFF congratulates the newly elected President of Zimbabwe, Emerson Mnangagwa of ZANU PF. We take this opportunity to wish him well in his tenure as new president in a Zimbabwe free of Mugabe’s autocratic leadership.

We call on all Zimbabweans, in particular the opposition parties to accept the electoral outcome and continue to build the new Zimbabwe based on peace and stability. We condemn all who mobilize violence to impose or oppose the electoral outcome. Africa no longer needs leaders who see violence as the solution to political problems. As a continent we have known enough violence that has only led to Africa’s deterioration.

May Zimbabwe rise to its former glory under a united parliament and president Mnangagwa.
