Sources told Daily News that former Zanu PF national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere is said to have been placed on the “persons of interest” list by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
When contacted for comment, police spokesperson Charity Charamba told Daily News that she was not aware that Kasukuwere had been placed on the “persons of interest” list. However, ZRP sources said Kasukuwere has been under their radar since June 23, when there was an explosion at White City Stadium in Bulawayo which resulted in the death of two people, and injuring more than 40 others.
A few days after police raided Kasukuwere’s mansion but maintained a veil of secrecy over their investigations. Kasukuwere who returned home in May this year after six months in exile, left the country for South Africa immediately according to sources who spoke to Daily News.
