National police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi told The Chronicle that they have launched a manhunt for two armed robbers who robbed the crew of a Bulawayo-bound bus near Shangani Business centre about 50km from Gweru. The robbers got away with $30 and a cellphone.
The armed robbers who boarded the bus which was coming from Harare in Gweru, were armed with a pistol and a machete. The pair robbed the bus crew at around 8PM last Wednesday as the bus headed towards Shangani Business centre. Nyathi said police are appealing to anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact any nearest police station.
