Acie Lumumba has said that MDC Alliance presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa has to stop resurrecting dead politicians. Lumumba said if Chamisa wants to win the upcoming elections he has to get rid of dead weight.
Said Lumumba:
Nelson Chamisa you are not out of the game yet but you have to get rid of the dead weight. The trouble Nelson Chamisa is having is he is you are resurrecting dead politicians…Tendai Biti was as good as dead a politician. Welshman Ncube was as good as dead a politician. You went and resurrected them, why? When you now have them next to you they are now dead weight for you. Nelson Chamisa you are a superstar. In five years from now I have no doubt you will be a mean politician to contend with. But right now you have got dead weight. You can’t argue with Zanu-PF and say Zanu-PF has dead weight when you are carrying dead weight too.
Lumumba also advises Chamisa not to ride on Morgan Tsvangirai’s legacy saying that the late opposition leader’s shoes are too big to fill. He also said that Chamisa must be ready to make the hard decisions and says that Jessie Majome is not too important.
Rubbish for trying to destabilize the alliance. Zanu PF is full of dead weight, there is no minister in Zanu who is not deadwood. ZANU has taken Khupe whose is a deadwood and who was expelled from our party. Mukhupe, Gumbo, Kazembe, Mpofu, Chinamasa, Mutsvangwa, Ziyambi Ziyambi( whose failed to enact even one reform), Chris Mushowe are useless. The common factor among them is that they are ALL professional ass lickers. The supporters have been hypnotized for 38 years. Please don’t worry about the opposition, Biti and Ncube realized their mistakes and have come back thus the parable of prodigal son. MDC has one stem which is MT the owner of the party, nothing else. Your comments about the opposition bring a taste in my mouth, I advise you not to worry about the politics of the opposition which you do not know. I suggest you concentrate on ZANU who has a long history of corruption which may be easy to follow. Go back to the early eighties with the Sandura commission and move on from there. There is a good audit trail of corruption, genocide, mismanagement, and cannibalization of government entities. You are too small to untie the opposition’s shoes. Your junta tried to create treason charges against MT.
I think Lumumba does not see the bigger picture I kanzato kanzato you non of them can stand alone Biti is the Anchor otherwise Chamisa is a ship that can drft to sea unguided. NCUBE GAVE credibility to the so called death bed will of Morgan to give Chamisa the leadership lipfrog jumping duly elected people like Khupe who were duly elected and founder members I doubt that they will manage to go through elections without major splits and if they get to government how they will set it up with such a fragmented coalitiln
