Robert Munemo of Lundi Park appeared before Gweru magistrate Ms Judith Taruvinga after his dog mauled his tenant Ms Precious Kademwa. He was convicted against his own plea of not guilty and fined $200.
Magistrate Taruvinga further referred the case to Gweru Civil Court after Kademwa demanded $2 400 as compensation for medical bills. The court heard that on May 7 at around 3PM, Kademwa was at her cottage at Munemo’s house. Munemo’s maid left the main house and proceeded to the cottage and was followed by Munemo’s dog named Bruno. When Kademwa opened the door, she was immediately attacked by Bruno before she fell down.
