Nicaragua Rejects U.S. Nominee For Ambassador, Hugo Rodríguez

Nicaragua has reiterated its rejection and non-acceptance of the United States (U.S.) nominee for ambassador, Hugo Rodríguez, saying Rodríguez “will not, under any circumstance, be admitted to our Free Nicaragua”.

In a statement seen by Pindula News, Nicaragua said Rodriguez is undiplomatic and disrespectful. Reads the statement signed by Denis Moncada Colindres, Minister of Foreign Affairs Nicaragua Government of Reconciliation and National Unity:

DIPLOMATIC NOTE

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Nicaragua Government of Reconciliation and National Unity, reiterates to the Government of the United States the communique issued on July 28, 2022, of rejection, non-acceptance, of Mr. Hugo Rodriguez, proven interventionist, disrespectful and undiplomatic Official, offensively nominated as Representative of that Government in our Blessed, Sovereign and Free Nicaragua.
We reiterate not only our rejection, but also our uncompromising Position of National Dignity, which absolutely ignores the interventionist and imperialist actions that deserve the repudiation of Honorable Peoples and Fighters like us.

Mr. Hugo Rodriguez, and we say it emphatically, will not, under any circumstance, be admitted to our Free Nicaragua, and much less as an exponent of the worst forms of an offensive and irreverent modality of bilateral relations between States, which contravenes the Vienna Convention from its very beginning.
