The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) has issued an update on Reserve money noting that it declined during the week ending 4 February 2022 compared to the previous weeks’ position. Pindula News presents an update by the RBZ:
RESERVE MONEY
1. Reserve money declined by ZW$1.03 billion to ZW$26.41 billion during the week ending 4th February 2022, compared to the previous week’s position of ZW$27.44 billion.
2. The fall in reserve money largely reflected declines of ZW$922.97 million and ZW$104.52 in required reserves and currency issued, respectively.
Banks’ liquidity (RTGS balances) at the Reserve Bank also registered a decline of ZW$2.12 million.
