Mugabe’s office sues man for receiving salaries for over four years despite quitting his job

Taurai Mavhengere is being sued by the Office of the President and Cabinet and his former employer District Development Fund (DDF) for $18 222 after he allegedly received salaries for over four years despite quitting his job as a driller.

According to court papers Mavhengere continued to withdraw his salary until February 2014 despite disappearing from work without advising any of his immediate superiors in 2010. As a result the State lost $18 222. Mavhengere  is yet to enter an appearance to defend.
