Admitter Mpofu (26) of Nkulumane suburb appeared before Western Commonage Magistrate Mr Lungile Ncube after sending obscene messages and pictures to Simangele Lusinga (36) of Cowdray Park suburb on Friday last week whose husband was having a love affair with her young sister.
Mpofu pleaded guilty to contravening the Post and Telecommunications Act and was remanded in custody to today for sentencing. In her defence, Mpofu said she sent the messages because Lusinga was fighting with her sister. She apologised to the court and pleaded for a lighter sentence stating that she has a child to take care of. The court heard that on 26 May Mpofu sent the messages at around 6.30PM using Sithembinkosi Moyo’s cellphone. The Chronicle reports that the messages which were repeated in court cited Lusinga’s private parts and made reference to her mother’s privates too.
