Tsenengamu denied bail for attempting to subvert Mugabe’s govt

Former Zanu PF youth leader for Mashonaland Central, Godfrey Tsenengamu who was re-arrested yesterday by the police on charges of attempting to subvert President Robert Mugabe’s government was denied bail by Harare magistrate Ms Barbara Chimboza and was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

He was remanded to the second of June.

Tsenengamu was arrested in February this year after convening a press conference in Harare where he called for a response from Emmerson Mnangagwa and his allies, following Mugabe’s birthday interview with ZBC in which he appeared to crush Mnangagwa’s presidential ambitions by saying that no one in Zanu PF was worthy of succeeding him.
