Alex Tawanda Magaisa has said the Zimbabwean government is looking for scapegoats among doctors for the resurgence of the coronavirus. Magaisa who is the former Chief of Staff in the office of the late former Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, Morgan Tsvangirai, speaks after Nick Mangwana claimed there were conspiracy theories suggesting some doctors were deliberately killing politicians in hospitals. We present below Magaisa’s Twitter thread.
For a former nurse, Secretary Mangwana displays pedestrian thinking. He & his chums were openly violating COVID-19 rules as if they were special. They were holding useless meetings & parties. Now he’s peddling conspiracy theories & looking for scapegoats among doctors & nurses
The regime always tells opposition people to go to the police whenever they allege criminal acts against them by its agents. Well, Secretary Mangwana should take a dose of that prescription and proceed to @PoliceZimbabwe to report the crimes. Twitter is not a police station.
If he does not make a report, then @PoliceZimbabwe should kindly invite him for a conversation because by peddling conspiracy theories under the guise of third party reporting, Mangwana is causing “alarm and despondency”. Isn’t that phrase one of the regime’s favourites?
