The year 2020 will mark Zimbabwe’s independence from the British Colonial system and for the first time, the celebrations will be held out of Harare. This year the independence day celebrations will be in Bulawayo and the government has promised a lot of exciting activities for big 40, Sunday News reports.
According to Nick Mangwana:
We are planninga number of new exciting activities earmarked for the build up to the main event. These include an art exhibition in Bulawayo and fireworks on the eve of the Independence Day. A 40-part-themed parade through the streets of Bulawayo has also been mooted
Mr Mangwana did not shed light on the exciting activities he is referring to. He simply said an art exhibition will kick start the celebrations.
