Deputy Minister of Information and Publicity Energy Mutodi is one of the people reportedly vying for the vacant Zanu PF Youth League secretary position which was left vacant after Pupurai Togarepi was demoted earlier this month, ZimMorning Post reports.
According to the publication:
Motormouth Deputy Minister of Information and Publicity Energy Mutodi is believed to have also shown interest although efforts to contact him proved fruitless at the time of writing as his mobile phone was unreachable.
Godfrey Gomwe is also eyeing the post as reported by the publication. A source that spoke to the publication has this to say about Gomwe:
Gomwe is known for his strength to mobilize and he also has clout and financial capacity. He has also occupied a leadership position in the youth league and that gives him an edge
However, reports claim that the Deputy Sports minister Tinoda Macharika is tipped to replace Togarepi because of his close relationship with former fuel mogul Kuda Tagwirei.
