Well Wishers Help Mai Sorobhi

Popular actress Rhodha Mtembe a.k.a Amai Sorobhi has received help from wellwishers in the form of foodstuffs and therapy sessions, the Herald reports.

Mai Sorobhi suffered a stroke early this year which left her partially paralysed and unable to walk. She appealed for help to go for physiotherapy assistance to regain full mobility in a bid to revive her acting career.

One of the wellwishers who helped, Group Chief Executive Officer for Nduhukire Holdings and Mathiaga Auctioneers Dr Thomas Rashamira said:

We heard Mai Sorobhi’s plea and we were touched. We decided to provide foodstuffs for her so that her daughter won’t have to do everything on her own

Mai Sorobhi is popular for her role as Paraffin’s wife in the late 90s where she played a notorious vocal housewife to an equally notorious husband Paraffin.

  1. A whole national theatre, incredible talent gone to waste not at all celebrated but at best humiliated by its own African, Zimbabwean and revolutionary camps dispensations cum dictatorships
