The European Union ambassador to Zimbabwe Timo Olkonnen has seemingly mocked Harare authorities for the Anti-Sanctions marches planned for this Friday across the country.
Olkonnen said that EU policies are made by EU member states and decisions are made based on the facts of what is happening on the ground and not on stadium events, gala dinners or prayer sessions.
EU policy is not made on the back of galas & dinners says @euinzim Ambassador @TimoOlkkonen.
Then we have men in suits & women in expensive dresses calling themselves leaders of Zimbabwe, when they are being cartooned like this?
This is sad bcoz it affects us too as citizens! pic.twitter.com/6WIcFU7t84— Hopewell Chin’ono (@daddyhope) October 24, 2019
kkk, that’s a good one. Someone is spending money on a stint that does not add any value to the country
Thinking yeZanu Pf unotoshaiwa kuti madhimoni here kana kuti dzakashota. Big bellied men sitting down and arranging such an embarrassing event. Ndiwo anonzi mamhepo ekufa kwe chiparty che mbavha.
Sadly these tactics have been surprisingly sucssesful for zanu in the past 30 years as it makes desperate ignorant uneducated rural people feel important and is quite a powerful tool
