Government and civil servants representatives, Apex Council, failed to reach an agreement on the 2016 annual bonuses with another meeting scheduled on the 28th of February to find a common ground on proposals tabled by government.
The workers representatives reportedly rejected government’s three offers in relation to the 2016 annual bonuses with Apex Council Chairperson, Mrs Cecelia Alexander saying they are going to further consult their stakeholders on the options that the government has offered regarding the 2016 bonuses. According to sources close to the crunch meeting, the government offered residential stands, half salary payment and revenue accrued from a bond to be floated.
