Norman Mapeza was appointed head coach of Scottland FC on Thursday, replacing Tonderayi Ndiraya, who parted ways with the club on Wednesday.
The former FC Platinum coach finalised the move yesterday following a meeting with Scottland FC owner Scott Sakupwanya, benefactor Wicknell Chivayo, and other senior officials. Mapeza’s manager, Gibson Mahachi, was also in attendance.
Mapeza, who left FC Platinum at the end of the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, concludes a decade-long association with the club across two separate spells.
He is expected to be joined at Scottland FC by his trusted assistant, Daniel Vheremu, who also resigned from FC Platinum.
Scottland have decided to look to Mapeza to lead the team into the new season, including their campaign in the CAF Champions League.
