TM Pick n Pay is shutting down its Chikanga and Dangamvura outlets in Mutare today as part of a broader move to scale back operations in Zimbabwe.
The decision follows last month’s announcement to write off its entire investment in the country due to ongoing financial losses.
The retail giant, a South African brand operating in partnership with TM Supermarkets under Meikles Limited, is reducing its footprint nationwide after years of struggling in the market.
With 74 stores across Zimbabwe, the company recently reported an unrecognised loss of 51 million Rand for the financial year ending March 2, 2025.
