National Service Gives You Skills You Won’t Learn At University – Mandiwanzira

Nyanga South MP Supa Mandiwanzira (ZANU PF) has urged Zimbabwean youths to sign up for the National Youth Service (NYS), saying the programme gives them valuable skills that could help them find jobs in the future.

Speaking on Saturday at Kubudazuva Primary School in his constituency, Mandiwanzira said the NYS teaches practical skills that young people don’t usually pick up at school, college or even university.

The event was part of a donation drive by Boys DzaMdara, a ZANU PF-aligned group led by Hopewell Chako.

The organisation donated 100 pairs of shoes, computers, and even installed Starlink internet at the school, a big boost for pupils and teachers alike. Said Mandiwanzira:

If you see Boys dzaMdara, they are not ordinary people. They are different from other people, the reason is because they went through the National Youth Service training.

Its leadership went through vigorous training at the NYS. We are calling on all the youths to join the NYS because they can earn lifelong skills that can help them earn jobs.

At the NYS, there are skills which are taught there which are not found in schools, colleges and even universities.

Chako said that Boys dzaMdara is made up of young entrepreneurs who want to inspire others to start their own businesses and contribute to improving the country’s economy.
