The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has announced that elections to choose a new Premier Soccer League (PSL) chairman will be held on 25 July 2025.
The PSL has been without a chairman since Farai Jere stepped down in December 2024. In addition to the chairmanship, elections will also be held for two deputy chairperson positions and three emergency committee members.
ZIFA has also scheduled elections for the Women’s Premier Soccer League on the same day. Positions up for election include chairperson, vice chairperson, and five committee members. ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi said:
The PSL and WPSL elections represent an important milestone in the renewal of our football structures.
As ZIFA, we are fully committed to delivering a credible, transparent, and inclusive process that strengthens the foundations of the game in Zimbabwe.
