CAPS United Reshuffle Technical Team

Big changes are happening at CAPS United as the club looks to turn around a rocky start to the 2025 season.

Head coach Lloyd Chitembwe has been reassigned to a new role as technical director following the complete shake-up of his coaching team.

Former midfielder Ian Bakala is back at the club, this time as first assistant coach. Bakala, who donned the CAPS jersey in 2004, is set to bring his experience both as a player and a coach to the new-look technical setup.

Club president Farai Jere made the announcement Monday morning, confirming that a new head coach, along with the rest of the technical team, will be revealed on Thursday.

With just 8 points from 10 matches, Makepekepe are languishing in 15th place on the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table, and desperately need a turnaround.

For now, Chitembwe is still in charge of preparations for their next fixture against Herentals.
