Pastor Chiwenga Slams Prophet Ndlovu Over Chivayo Gifts

Prominent preacher, Pastor Talent Chiwenga, has publicly criticised fellow clergyman Prophet Ian Ndlovu for accepting extravagant gifts from controversial businessman and socialite, Wicknell Chivayo.

Prophet Ndlovu, founder and leader of the Divine Kingdom Baptist Ministries, recently received a brand-new 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series VXR from Chivayo. In addition, Chivayo donated US$100,000 towards the construction of Ndlovu’s church building.

Chivayo’s generosity extended to Ndlovu’s wife as well, gifting her a 2025 Toyota Fortuner 2.8D GD6 to support her charitable work, along with a cash donation of US$50,000 for her philanthropic activities.

Pastor Chiwenga has questioned the ethical implications of accepting such lavish gifts from Chivayo, who has long faced public scrutiny and allegations of benefitting from shady government tenders and so-called “tenderpreneurship.” Said Chiwenga:

Ian Ndlovu must be called mainini Ian. He is now Wicknell Chivayo’s sidechick. Ian Ndlovu nzenza yaWicknell Chivayo.

You can’t quote John chapter 3 and say “a man cannot receive anything except from God.” We know the scriptures that say “they are prophesying for a bribe.”

What you received is not a gift from above. That car did not come from above. It came from ZANUPF. Wicknell Chivayo was clear, “Everyone receiving cars from me, they must know it’s coming from ZANU PF.”

So Wicknell Chivayo’s cars did not come, eh, are not from his own pocket. Ian Ndlovu is not driving cars from Wicknell Chivayo. He received a gift from ZANU PF.

When he collected the car and cash from Faramatsi Motors at their Club Chambers showroom last week, Prophet Ndlovu described the gift from Chivayo as an “act of God.” He said:

In John chapter 3 verse 27 the Bible says, a man can receive nothing except that which is given to him from above. 

We believe that this is an act of God. God has to use a man, he has to use a human being to a human being. 

We thank God for what he has done through brother Wicknell to gift us with this wonderful thing, I and my wife. We continue to appreciate the work that he is doing. 

I believe that this is a blessing from the new season in reaching out to the communities and helping the needy. So I am grateful to everyone. Thank you. I thank the Lord Jesus for everything.
