Solusi University To Exhume 14 Graves “Obstructing Important Development Plans”

Solusi University is set to exhume 14 unidentified graves at its farm to make way for a major arable land expansion project.

The university, located in Bulilima Ward 19, issued a public notice confirming the exhumation of the graves, which are believed to be unclaimed and undocumented.

The Seventh-day Adventist-run institution said that the graves, situated 18 km from the campus, are obstructing important development plans.

The university stated that the exhumation will be carried out in compliance with the Cemeteries Act and the National Museums and Monuments Act. Part of the statement reads:

The exhumation will be carried out in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, and with utmost respect and dignity for the deceased.
