Insiza North MP Farai Taruvinga Has Died

The Member of Parliament for Insiza North Constituency, Farai Taruvinga (ZANU PF), has passed away at the age of 53 after a long battle with colon cancer.

Taruvinga, who was deeply committed to the development of his local community, passed away on Monday, 31 March, in Bulawayo.

Mangaliso Ndlovu, the ZANU PF Provincial Chairman for Matabeleland South, confirmed the news of Taruvinga’s death, expressing his sorrow:

I can confirm that we have lost the Member of the National Assembly for Insiza North. He had been unwell for some time.

Taruvinga had been serving his second term as a Member of Parliament and had a notable career in business, particularly in the mining sector. He was the owner of Progress Mines in Filabusi.
