“3 Million People Voted In ZANU PF Primary Elections”

ZANU PF says more than three million people voted in its primary elections held recently.

There are about six million registered voters in Zimbabwe and ZANU PF is targeting to garner up to five million votes in general elections set to be held later this year.

Speaking to The Sunday Mail, ZANU PF director of information and publicity Cde Tafadzwa Mugwadi said:

From the preliminary indications, we can safely say that three million people voted in the primary elections.

We are going to release the final figures soon. However, our preliminary observations show that the number of voters who participated was above three million.

In some constituencies, the ZANU PF primary elections were marred by violence and re-runs are set to be held in Zvimba West, Gokwe-Nembudziya, Mbare, Insiza South and Churu.

  1. Are they not cooking up figures to justify rigging in the forthcoming general elections. Since when have statistics of primary elections been publicised? Their leader is joining a different church every weekend and claiming to be a full member, now he is claiming to be a member of the Methodist Church, do these churches and the Methodist Church in particular glorify ‘Goldmafia’?

    1. The participants in the primaries include Makorokoza. Do you honestly think they will support any allegations against themselves as Gold smugglers? You must be dreaming.

  2. i cannot believe that there are 3 millions DUNDERHEADS in Zimbabwe that voted for a few more DUNDERHEADS
