South African Police Say AKA's Killers Yet To Be Arrested
South African police said there is no update as yet in the investigation into the murder of musician Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Col Robert Netshiunda on Monday dismissed a report the previous day claiming three suspects were arrested for the rapper’s death, reported TimesLive.
AKA and his friend, celebrity chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were shot dead by unknown gunmen outside a popular restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road last month.
ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula described AKA’s murder as an assassination.
Police minister Bheki Cele told a ministerial imbizo in mid-March that police were making significant progress in their investigation into the murder.
