Zimbabwean Gold dealer, Ewan Macmillan, has said one “comrade Chiwenga“, believed to be in reference to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, is a dunderhead.
He made the remarks while talking about how gold dealers smuggle Gold using private planes with the connivance of politicians, and how they have Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) Governor, John Mangudya, on speed dial.
In snippets that have been shown to journalists and Anti-Corruption experts by Al-Jazeera, the gold dealer refers to one comrade Chiwenga as a “dunderhead“.
Al Jazeera plans to broadcast a four-part documentary titled Unveiling Zimbabwe’s Dark Secrets: Al Jazeera Exposes Looting, Plunder and Money Laundering, a two-year investigation into corruption and money laundering in Zimbabwe involving senior government officials and their cronies.
A trailer released by the news channel features President Mnangagwa’s appointed ambassador at large, Uebert Angel as one of the key figures in the scam.
In one part, Ewan Macmillan says they control 90% of the government.
Since the trailer was released, government information czars have been fretting about how to deal with the potentially damaging exposé.
An undercover Al Jazeera journalist asks in one of the excerpts what will happen if their deals with “prophet” Uebert Angel, leader of Spirit Embassy are exposed.
A person alleged to be Angel’s secretary responds that: “Anyone who exposes anything is thrown into prison.“
I could claim I have written a book exposing corruption and government, and make up some quotes. People would would be excited, why, because the Zim public are gullible. We have never heard of Ewan Mcmillan, at least I haven’t. What if he is just a criminal boasting that he has political connections> All criminals do that, don’t they. Let us view the documentary then as viewers we can make our own judgement. No one should position themselves as one who thinks for us.
Ewan might be using a fake name, but what about ‘profhit’ Eubert?

25 MAY 2007
The Herald (Harare)
Harare — THE High Court has granted suspected gold baron Ewan Alexander Macmillan $100 million bail and ordered him to surrender a plane as surety among other stringent conditions for his release.
The Harare businessman was arrested after allegedly being found in possession of more than a kilogramme of gold worth more than $355 million.
So Anonymous- what do you say to that? He is probably your big mate.
Lol
The herald of all places
ED and Sons limited and Queen B are the corrupt looters
Deny it, accept it, corruption stinks heavily in higher government echelons…
Someone is caught with 99,99% gold mostly refined probably at Fidelity & a claim is believed that she took the wrong handbag – (Of who & from whose house) Pobva patonzi hapana nyaya. The most painful thing is that we Zimbabweans also believe that story. Eish
Anyone who knows the gold and cigarettes dealings in Zimbabwe know’s the Macmillans 😂
After all has been said… there’s no smoke without a Fire….
We should be cross checking if this Macmillan guy is linked to the Adam Lincoln Wood story and the Kinahan Gang from Dubai who were using Zim like a laundromat. Is it not all to coincidental now?.
Again, I ask if Adam Woodington and Christopher Kinahan own the Harare airport per Independant and are allegedley drug dealers, what is the source of such funds that they use to buy gold locally that they send from Harare. We are viewing the wrong movie guys. Macmillans funds come back to Harare but these drug lords just wash through …..
in 2007, if i remember correctly, whether true or not, Joyce Mujuru was VP, I heard a story that Macmillan and Joyce were involved in a gold deal, and Mac didnt pay the VP , so he got locked up … kkkk … Who was VP after Mujuru ? On 10 December 2014, Mugabe appointed Mujuru’s long-time rival in the succession battle, Emmerson Mnangagwa, to replace her as Vice-President. Mujuru was expelled from ZANU-PF on 3 April 2015 and subsequently moved on to form the Zimbabwe People First party, in opposition to ZANU-PF.
Bit of history. Ewan went to Chinhoyi High School. His father Ian was one a motor cross champion. Then they had farms around Mhangura. At 15 he was already driving to school..these people have been connected with people in high offices. Ewan should be around 53 years of age and has been in the ‘game’ for a long time. Just tie up a few ends
