Motorists using High Glen Road during the evening are urged to be cautious when approaching the Crowborough Road intersection, popularly known as “PamaChina”.
There is an influx in the number of cases involving vehicle and valuables theft at that intersection between 19:00 and 23:00.
Criminals take advantage of cars slowing down due to speed bumps and pounce on unsuspecting motorists.
They (criminals) break vehicle windows using sharp objects and take valuables and in worst cases, scare drivers with weapons leading to vehicle theft.
Last night alone, two separate cases which occurred within an hour, were reported at Marimba Police Station.
Motorists are also urged to be cautious of a white Toyota Hiace without registration number at that intersection, as it is believed to be involved in the syndicate.
Motorists are also urged to ensure that windows are closed when approaching that intersection.
My fellow Zimbos have to deal with so much in life. At the pinnacle of the mountain government corruption stands above all else. The Chiefs want it all. They promise much when they are infected with election fever. Those promises wilt as the veld in a drought wilts.
At the foot of the mountain, there are predators scavenging on your bones. Tsotsi, bandits, gangstas, mafia et al. All wanting to steal those things that honest Joe works hard for.
Our illustrious ZRP warn – keep the doors locked. Keep the windows raised. Do not forget to take a crime number for the insurance company.
The writer of the report simply warns – criminals will smash the windows to grab your possessions.
Friends, I implore you to lock your katunda in the boot. On the backseat place a TM bag full of rotten fish and the family faeces. Mr criminal, do not break my car or my face, just take my bag.
