South Africa: Rapper AKA Shot Dead

The South African entertainment industry has been plunged into morning following the death of star rapper AKA.

AKA was shot and killed at a night club in Durban last night.

He was 35.

An official from the South African Police Service (SAPS) confirmed the sad development. He said:

What we can confirm for now is that a well-known musician aged 35 and his bodyguard who is said to be 34 years of age, were shot and killed on Florida Road on Friday.

What we have for now is that the musician and his bodyguard were leaving a restaurant after having dinner at a restaurant and as they were leaving for their vehicle, two unknown gunmen came across the street on foot, and opened fire on them, killing them instantly.

AKA spoke against human rights abuse in Zimbabwe and even took part in the #ZimLivesMatter movement.

  1. Could he have been massacred by some ZanuPF hirelings ? A KZN lecturer was reportedly killed because he was giving evidence that a Zimbabwean Vice President had corruptly bought his Doctorate from the University. The clearly fake Doc can hardly construct a short paragraph in English.

  2. Sad sad day.A society with no respect for human life.Noone should be shot in cold blood no matter what they did.RIP fella
