Brothers Kill Father After Accusing Him Of Witchcraft

Two Glen Norah brothers have been arrested for allegedly killing their father, whom they accused of practicing witchcraft. 

Bruce Chitaukire and Changchu Chitaukire aged 43 and 47 respectively, allegedly killed their father Solomon Tendai Chitaukire (73) at their their family home in Glen Norah on Saturday. 

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the duo’s arrest in a statement.

Reads the statement:

The ZRP has arrested two sons, Bruce Chitaukire (43) and Changchu Chitaukire (47) for callous killing of their father, Solomon Tendai Chitaukire (73), whom they accused of witchcraft on 28/01/23 at the family’s home in Glen Norah A, Harare. 

The suspects’ mother Faith Chitaukire had to seek refuge at a neighbour’s house, only to return the next morning and found the victim dead with multiple injuries all over the body. 

 The brothers will appear in court this week facing murder charges.
