What a waste of time. The boy could have been in his third year at university by now. Whats the purpose of 20 As when only 5 are required at O level. He could have written O level while he was in form 2 and A level when he was in form 4. He is very capable but lacked proper guidance. All the teachers who worked with him could not advise him accordingly, what a waste.

What seemed to be a record breaking can be a reason why ZIMSEC lost its credibility. 50 points for what? A combination of three are enough for his future career and if ZIMSEC is not confused no one can write 10 of it's subjects and pass them all with A's.

Nobody said he is not intelligent @no name Read the article about what is required if you want to pursue medicine They only look at the 3 subjects they want You won't increase your chances by having 10 subjects so people are just its a waste of time and money too

If it was Cambridge, that could have been nuch better. Zimsec standaeds are questionable. people are now doing A Level like O level. Whats the point of doing all those subjects at A level

The kind of results we see today is a serious cause for concern. Students must not be allowed to register more than 3 subjects. Some subjects are repetitions ( Mechanical maths, Statistics, Pure maths, Further Maths). This is why these subjects are written at the same time.

Taking 10 subjects is due to lack of confidence to oneself, taking the suicidal 3 well combined subjects is a real sign of confidence and focus. After all only 3 well combined subjects are required in varsity entry. The boy should have been advised appropriately as some subjects are mere repetition

Guys these 50 points are used as leverage when applying for scholarships. 

The first person to get 16 As and 25 points in Zim got a mastercard scholarship and they are working for a hedgefund right now 

The other person I know who got 15As 1B and 23 points at A Level got a scholarship and is now working for a hedgefund in London 

The other person I know who had 14As and later got 24 points at A Level got a scholarship to study at MIT and they are now working for Oracle

If you have proper guidance the 50 points will propel you to greater heights. 

There were probably geniuses like these already kudhara but parents were strict back then and school heads wouldn't allow the kid to register so many subjets.

If this kid is really smart I like what he did and he should get the support that he deserves. Maybe he is the Zimbabwean Einstein. 

In America there are so many of these smart kids except they write SATs and you'll meet kids with ridiculous SAT scores.

This kid is Ivy League material.
