Zimbabwe Weather Report And Forecast: 22 - 24 December 2022

The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has reported that heavy downpours were recorded in some parts of the country. In a weather report and forecast seen by Pindula News, MSD said it expects briefly cloudy periods in some parts of the country on Wednesday. Reads a report and forecast for the period 22 -24 December 2022:

PREAMBLE

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS THURSDAY 22 DECEMBER 2022 VALID UNTIL SATURDAY 24 DECEMBER 2022.

Heavy downpours were recorded at Mutasa DC (101mm), Nyanga (98mm), and Mukandi (50mm) following the scattered thunderstorms that occurred along and to the north of the main watershed yesterday. Other amounts recorded were below 25mm. Cloudy, windy and drizzly conditions occurred in areas to the south of the main watershed. The maximum temperatures were subdued as a result of cloudy and wind conditions that prevailed.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, FRIDAY 23 DECEMBER 2022

Briefly cloudy periods are expected in some areas in all Mashonaland, Harare Metropolitan, and northern Manicaland Provinces with a possibility of showers. Partly cloudy periods are expected in the morning in Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan, southern parts of Midlands, Masvingo, and southern parts of Manicaland Provinces. However, cloudiness should decrease to mostly sunny and warm by afternoon. Matabeleland North should be mild and mostly sunny in the morning and hot in the afternoon.

• Ensure that vulnerable members of society are kept warm, especially toward evening.

• Take enough fluids to compensate for water loss through dehydration with medical doctors’ advice

• Farmers may make use of these weather conditions to do weeding and other farming activities that need sunny and warm conditions.

• Families and friends may take part in outdoor parties and activities of their choice.

• Plan with the weather in mind. Be weather-wise!

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR SATURDAY 24 DECEMBER 2022

Partly cloudy conditions are expected in some areas in Mashonaland West, and Mashonaland Central Provinces. The remaining places are expected to be mostly sunny both in the morning and afternoon. It should be mild in the morning and hot in the afternoon.
