A 29-year-old maid from Cowdray Park, Bulawayo, allegedly raped her employer’s 14-year-old son when they were home alone while two boys were sodomised in a different case.
According to local police, on an unknown date in September at around 1 pm, the complainant was alone in a store room when the accused person opened the door, came inside and locked the door.
The maid is alleged to have then grabbed the minor, forcibly removed his shirt, and trousers and forced him to have sexual intercourse with her once without protection.
After the act, the accused person told the minor not to tell anyone about the matter, The Sunday News reported citing said acting Bulawayo police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele. Said the inspector:
The matter came to light on 6 November when the boy’s father noticed some change in behavior of his child. He then asked his child what was bothering him and the boy narrated the ordeal a report was made to the police leading to the arrest of the accused person.
We urge teenagers and youths not to fear to report such cases and find people to confide to.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man from Hwange appeared at the Hwange Magistrates Court facing two counts of sodomising two boys.
Craig Gandiya (20) from Chibondo in Hwange appeared before regional magistrate Mr Collet Ncube on Thursday on allegations of sexually assaulting two boys aged eight years and below.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred on different dates sometime this year.
The State represented by Mr Vumizulu Mangena alleges that on dates unknown to the court, Gandiya was at the home of one boy when he called him to the backyard and molested him once.
On yet another date sometime this year, the court heard that Gandiya took another boy, and exposed him to pornographic videos before he undressed him and sodomised him once.
The matter came to light on 25 August when one of the victims revealed the matter to his brother and it was subsequently reported to the police.
