Zimbabwe Weather Report And Forecast: MSD Says Localised Heavier Rains Probable

The Meteorological Services Department of Zimbabwe has said localised heavier rains remain probable in the next few days. In a weather report and forecast seen by Pindula News, MSD said another cloud band is approaching the country from the west. Reads a report and forecast for the period 30 October to 01 November 2022:

PREAMBLE

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 FIRS ON SUNDAY 30 OCTOBER 2022 VALID UNTIL TUESDAY 01 NOVEMBER 2022.

There were isolated light showers in areas along the main watershed namely Kadoma and Harare as well as Mutoko, yesterday. However, the same moisture field brought cloudy, windy and mild conditions to Matabeleland South, southern parts of Midlands, ‘Masvingo, and southern parts of Manicaland provinces with drizzle in places. By this morning these clouds had mostly cleared off and it became mostly sunny and hot across the country by midday. Meanwhile, another cloud band is approaching the country from the west.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, MONDAY 31 OCTOBER 2022

Mostly clear morning skies and mild conditions are anticipated across the country. However, clouds should stan trickling through Zimbabwe’s western border from mid-morning giving rise to hot and humid afternoon conditions with isolated thundershowers in Matabeleland South into Bulawayo Metropolitan, Masvingo, southern parts of Midlands and Matabeleland North. Brief cloudy periods and isolated showers are also probable in Mashonaland East and Manicaland Provinces due to remnant pockets of moisture. All other areas should remain mostly sunny and hot becoming mild towards evening.

COUNTRYWIDE: It should be mostly cloudy and warm with isolated showers. Localized heavier rains (above 10mm) remain probable, especially in areas along the main watershed. Mild conditions are anticipated both morning and overnight.
