ZRP Releases Names Of People Who Died In A Fire In Zaka

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has released the names of people who died in a fire in Zaka, Masvingo, on the 4th of October 2022. In a statement seen by Pindula News, ZRP said investigations were underway to establish the cause of the fire. Reads the statement:

ZRP STATEMENT ON NAMES OF VICTIMS WHO PERISHED IN A HUT INFERNO IN ZAKA

The Zimbabwe Republic Police announces the names of the four victims who died in an inferno which occurred on 4th October 2022 at around 2300 hours in Manyanga Village, Zaka.

The victims were identified as follows:-

> Rhoda Mutumwa, a female adult aged 90 years of Zishamhu Village, Zaka.

>  Rowai Dzimiri, a female adult aged 66 years of Manyanga Village, Zaka.

>  Angelica Manyanga, a female juvenile aged nine years of Manyanga Village, Zaka.

>  Allan Manyanga, a male juvenile aged eight years of Manyanga Village, Zaka.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police is now conducting comprehensive investigations to establish the cause of the fire. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police station.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe Republic Police urges the public to secure their dogs. On 5th October 2022 at around 1400 hours a seven-year-old boy was attacked and mauled to death by 11 vicious dogs at Plot 17, Lydiate, Norton after he was sent to fetch water by his grandmother. The owners of the dogs are now being charged with murder.

In another case, Police in Chinhoyi are investigating a Murder case which occurred at Muni Farm, Murereka, Chinhoyi, where unknown suspects attacked Amon Zimbeva (65) before setting the body on fire. The victim’s body was found on 5th October 2022 lying on a footpath with a deep wound on the left eye, some bruises on the head, with the lower abdomen as well as the left arm, burnt. The victim had previously sold two tonnes of maize to a neighbour on 4th October 2022 and was paid US$360-00. He was last seen leaving the local shops where he was drinking beer with his friends at around 1845 hours on 4th October 2022.
