President Emmerson Mnangagwa will travel to Cuba on 23 September for an official visit, the country’s Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.
According to Aleynes Palacios Hurtado, Mnangagwa will be in Cuba from Friday until Sunday to hold official talks with Cuban authorities and carry out other activities.
Mnangagwa is currently in the United States of America for the annual United Nations General Assembly.
Cuba and Zimbabwe have maintained friendly relations since 20 April 1980 which has been based on mutual support and respect.
This has seen almost 2 000 Zimbabwean students graduating from a number of Cuban universities, and hundreds of Cuban professionals working in Zimbabwe.
