Two people were injured when a DAF truck hit a Honda Fit on the passenger door along Seke road on Sunday 4 September 2022.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) says the driver of the truck did not stop after the accident. Reads the police report:
… two people were injured when an unknown motorist driving a white DAF truck hit a Honda fit vehicle on the passenger door along Seke Road near Zuva Service Station, Chikwanha, Chitungwiza. The truck driver did not stop after the accident.
In yet another hit-and-run accident, a pedestrian was hit with a rearview mirror by an unknown motorist along Chaminuka Road opposite Total Service Station, Huruyadzo on Saturday last week.
As a result, the pedestrian sustained injuries on the hands and was referred to a local hospital where he was treated and discharged. The motorist did not stop after the accident.
The ZRP reiterates that drivers must stop after an accident and make a report to the Police within 24 hours.
