ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON SATURDAY 03 SEPTEMBER 2022 VALID UNTIL MONDAY 05 SEPTEMBER 2022.
PREAMBLE
Clear skies and cold morning conditions which prevailed this morning over the country resulted in slight ground frost occurring at Matopos, West Nicholson, Gweru, Masvingo, Marondera Wedza, and Nyanga.
FORECAST FOR TOMORROW SUNDAY 04 SEPTEMBER 2022
Mostly sunny and cool morning conditions are anticipated countrywide with slight ground frost remaining probable in frost-prone areas such as Matopos, Kezi, Masvingo and Nyanga. It should be warm by the afternoon.
IMPACTS
- Dry conditions increase the chances of runaway veldt fires.
- Temperatures are gradually rising over much of the country, this, in turn, increases the risk of dehydration in vulnerable members of the society.
- Cold nighttime conditions may affect vulnerable members of society.
ACTIONS TO TAKE
- The public is urged to safeguard against the spreading of wildfires by constructing fireguards that are maintained free from combustible matter and are at least 9 (nine) meters wide.
- Avoid starting uncontrolled fires.
- Keep hydrated and avoid prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
- Keep warm at night.
