Former liberation fighter, Alderman Lawrence Mudehwe who succumbed to stomachache on Wednesday will be buried at the Manicaland Provincial Shrine this Sunday.

Senator Mutsvangwa said Mudehwe should be emulated for his leadership qualities which saw him ensure quality service delivery in Mutare. She told ZBC News:

Cde Mudewe was full of love, patriotic and a humble leader. His great works as an executive mayor for Mutare was there for all to see. The town was clean and he was not corrupt. The deterioration of services under the leadership of opposition political parties is in sharp contrast with the quality of services that was provided under his reign. We should continue emulation his great works as they promote national development.
