The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed the prices of diesel and petrol with effect from 02 August 2022.
The new price of diesel is US$1.74 and ZWL$774.15 per litre while the price of petrol is now US$1.60 and ZWL$710.60.
ZERA said the blending ratio remains at E20. It added that operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.
Previously, the price of diesel was US$1.76 and ZWL$727.69 per litre while the price of petrol was US$1.61 and ZWL$667.43.
Does the government not know the damage done by Ethanol fuels to vehicles!!! Ethanol is SUGAR and it kills the injectors it turns to caramel. One fuel injector can cost USD1000 !! This is madness puting sugar in vehicle engines.
