Moreblessing Ali Funeral: Police Statement On Violence In Nyatsime, Chitungwiza
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has deployed officers to manage the situation in the Nyatsime area, Chitungwiza after reports of violence at the burial of Moreblessing Ali, the slain Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist. Reports say some CCC activists burnt the homes of some ZANU PF officials after the latter had been denied them access to the funeral of Moreblessing Ali. In a statement seen by Pindula News, police said a detailed report will be issued. Reads the statement:
ZRP PRESS STATEMENT 14TH JUNE 2022 PUBLIC VIOLENCE IN NYATSIME AREA, CHITUNGWIZA
The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating the circumstances which has led to incidences of public violence in Nyatsime area , Chitungwiza this afternoon.
A detailed statement will be issued in due course as police officers are currently on the ground to ensure that law and order is maintained.
