Cold Conditions And Moderate Frost Expected On Monday

The Meteorological Services Department (MSD), says it will be cold in the morning in some parts of the country tomorrow, Monday 13 June 2022.

In its latest weather update, MSD said moderate ground frost should be expected in Henderson, Kadoma, Kezi, Lupane, Marondera, Matopos, Wedza and West Nicholson.

Mild conditions are expected by noon with mostly sunny conditions prevailing.

On Sunday, 12 June 2022, remnant pockets of moisture in some areas resulted in brief cloudy periods and cool daytime conditions. MSD said:

Remnant pockets of moisture in parts of Masvingo and Manicaland into Mashonaland East Province led to brief cloudy periods and cool daytime conditions in these areas.

All other areas were mostly sunny and mild by day, though cold both morning and towards evening.

However, the windy conditions that prevailed over the country reduced the occurrence of ground frost.

Thus the only places, where moderate ground frost cropped up this morning, were around Matopos and Kezi.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, 14 June 2022, clear skies are anticipated countrywide, with cold conditions expected in the morning and evening, though mild in the afternoon.

Moderate ground frost is probable in Henderson, Matopos, Kezi, Lupane, Kadoma, Marondera and Wedza.
